did anyone get this yet? they called me 2 weeks ago saying it was gonna ship and they were gonna give me a steel 3com mug for the wait. but it still not here and my credit card hasnt been charged. kinda hard to decide if i should just go buy another card or wait for this one, since this one is so much better

darn...i probalby won't get mine for another 2 weeks...
got a question.. if i bought this ... wat else should i get ? an access pt ?
says , if i already have a 4 port router , can i connect the access pt on top of that into one of the port?

i got mine today. you jsut need to get a access point, and hook its uplink port or WAN port to one of the ports on the router. its a simple plug in type thing, you probably dont have to coonfigure anything. consider it a very expensive cat5 cable that is invisible. the card looks pretty sweet but one of my friends says it doesnt work in winxp which if true really sucks.

i ordered around thanksgiving, but they had a problem with it being in stock. 3com doesnt have any in stock themselves, so it could be a while. this is a great looking card, and i've read its got better range than the orinoco gold. but the winxp drivers arent even out yet (the non xjack one has beta ones). anyways, hopefully they get drivers out soon for it.

Definitely a long delivery on these; mine was ordered well before Thanksgiving and just showed up two days ago! The communication with the marketing firm (VSI) and 3COM to find out what was going on was dismal. I last called 3COM about five days ago, and they said "we're not handling that here, but we'll have someone call you". Yeah, and the check's in the mail.

At least they added a freebie to the shipment, that helped a bit. The box had a nice stainless steel luggage (or laptop) tag with the 3COM logo.

They must have been waiting for development or manufacturing because I ordered one yesterday (Tuesday) and had it shipped to my office. My co-worker told me a package arrived overnighted from 3Com. I'm away on buisness so I can't verify that it's the card but I can't imagine what else I would have gotten from 3Com. I was expecting to wait a month but I guess I got lucky.
