3D MARK2001 Dose Anyone have any scores i can compare mine with ?

If anyone here is a Gamer they would be using 3Dmark 2001 to test out there computer to see how it rates i recently upgraded Mothboard, CPU, Ram and would like to compare my result of ( 5320 ) - 640x480 , 16 bit colour with anyone else to see if my computer is scoring what it should be ! THanx

Let's see.... at 1024x768 at 32bit, 24bit Z-buffering, tex format compressed, double buffering, and no FSAA I've got 5771 on the first rig on my system rigs page. It's not overclocked. Hope that helps.

In the standard test at 1024x768, 32bit, 24bit Z-buffering, texture format compressed, double buffering, and no FSAA my result was 3850. I think the 32 mb geforce2 is the bottleneck. In 3dmark2000 (standard test) i get 8900.

Just wondering why you don't use the online results browser.
You can compare your system to many others at the Mad Onion website after you upload your results.

Some data isn't visible though. Like AGP aperture and overclocking of the graphics card.

I hope I'm not going too far off topic but, has anyone noticed that the Radeon 8500 seems to beat the Geforce 3 Ti500 handily in the 3DMark 2001 test even though it seems to loose every game benchmark out there?

I'm curious what the reason for that is.

It may be that the radeon is the most direct x 8.1 capable, and since no real games are taking advantage of a bunch of those features you don't see real world performance. However maybe 3dmark2001 does take advantage of these features and those give a slightly skewed results...For now that is...

I assume he is wanting that setting to put more emphasis on the CPU and not the Video card. try unreal tournament perhaps, if you have it. It is very CPU dependent

Duvie, I think your explanation is correct. Makes total sense.
Apparantly, ATI has a fair bit of room to improve speed with better drivers also.
It'll be interesting to see how the battle plays out in the future.

System in my sig, I hit 8057 in 3dmark2001 at the standard benchmark. Using 22.80 drivers. If I OC the visontek any higher then 210/450-455, she will freeze up on me!

1.2 Tbird on a sheeetty Ali magik ddr board with a G2 gts, I hit around 3700 or so with not much tweaking.
I havent messed around with that too much since I put the G2 gts in the same day as I built the new rig in my sig.

That's odd, if the link worked at all you should see it. It's right about in the middle where it says, "Your detailed Test Results". As you hopefully will see, it's currently at 7352.

Check my sig for the hardware. The benchie was done at 1024x768 32bit with a 24-bit Z-buffer depth.

I have the FSB at 150, locked XP1600 so Multiplier is 10.5
Running all the ram settings on my board at turbo, cas2, etc.
Wish I was one of the ones who could OC my visiontek to 235/500+ but I guess I will just have to settle with a score a tad under 8100

P.S. my temp has never gone above 39-40c. may try a slot cooler under my video card to see what happens. Maybe tomorrow I will yank the HS off and apply some ASII as well.

Standard test (1024x768x32, and so on) gave me 4600 3DMarks. AthlonXP 1.4 GHz (1600+), Epox 8KHA+, Win2k, Geforce 2 Pro 32MB 220/440 MHz. The video card is the obvious bottleneck for me in this benchmark.

I dual boot 98se and win2k sp2. I did all my testing in win2k. Is your rig O'cd at all?
