Onvia is selling the 3DFX Voodoo3 3000 16MB AGP SDRM 166MHz Dual 32Bit 3D/2D W/TV Out for $112.62. Apply the $30 rebate + $25 off $100 Onvia coupon to bring the price to $57.62 w/ free shipping.

3DFX Voodoo 3 3500 AGP 16MB w/TV w/Visual Reality Editing Software for $105.27 using the same procedure as above for the Voodoo 3 3000.

These are my first posts, so I don't know how to linkify these deals. If someone can do that for me, thanks. I'll learn eventually

They also have 3DFX Voodoo3 2000 16MB PCI SDRAM 143MHz Dual 32Bit for $86.63. Apply the $30 rebate to bring the price to $56.63 w/ free shipping. But why get this card when you can pay a buck more the 3000?? Hurry, the rebate is good until 9/30.

Voodoo3 3000 PCI? Yes they do. Same price. Same rebate.

rwutang,
With the 2000, you can still use the $25-off coupon if you put at least $13.37 more on your order. So it's actually $20+ cheaper than the 3000.

Thanks!

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but which one is better? The AGP with TV out, or the PCI without TV out?

By the way, Amazon also has the PCI one for $109. With the $20 coupon and the $30 rebate, you get it for $59 + shipping... just in case Onvia runs out.

*ahem* I believe this was originally posted by me in the first voodoo3 deals thread.
Darq: Definitely get AGP if your motherboard supports it!

AGP pluses: TV out, _possible_ higher framerates when textures get big
PCI plus: can use in a future computer alongside an AGP card--useful because of Glide compatibility, and because 3dfx cards are generally the most compatible around

Firingsquad.com found that there was no difference at all between the Voodoo3 AGP & PCI in terms of framerates. So it comes down to TV out vs. possible dual card setup.

hehe, I was just kidding. Thanks for making a new thread, actually, I had only added that to a different thread.

Love those onvia coupons! I have already used it twice. Lots of good deals to be had with that free shipping. I ordered a 20 pound case from them, probably saved $33 on shipping alone, coupon is just an added plus!

Hmm. First time posting at Anandtech even though I've been hanging around for about 7 months now. Weird looking interface.

Any way, the 3dfx does not take advantage of the agp bus at all. So it doesn't really matter how much ram you have or how fast your ram is like it does with other agp cards. I think this is the same for the voodoo5 5500, although, I'm not sure. But the PCI/AGP frame rates of the v5 5500 seem to suggest that it does not. If you're buying a voodoo I would suggest you get PCI. It's far better because you can use it in computers with Intergrated video and such aswell as in a computer that already has a video card.... Dual monitor abality if you get a new card or something. I might pick one up.

I remember reading that the V3 retail came with a few games like Descent 3, Need for Speed and UT. Is this right? I didn't see any mention of bundled games in the description
