3dmark 2001 SE is out

The next version of 3dmark(aka 2k2) will probably wait until after Direct X 9 comes out. It makes sense really...I mean why create a whole new version of the software now when DX9 is coming later this year.

We'll probably see 2k2 or 2k3 sometime after that.

i found that there really isn't any optimization for any card, but shows in general what they can do. I guess thats good and why we see radeons beating geforces.

what resolution are you guys running this at? And are you getting any different scores when you switch on FSAA? For me it didn't seem to make a difference when i went from 2x to 4x

Went up about 400 points on my GF3 TI200.

I'm glad that the Radeon's optimized (cheating) drivers have been neutralized. Maybe we can get an idea of what they really can do.

Don't get me wrong - I know they're good cards, but ATI was kinda pulling the wool over our eyes by optimizing the drivers for 3dMark2001 and Quake 3.
