Mine are currently at your after state. Might be worth while then.
I would say the headlights went from looking 10 years old to maybe 2-3 years old. The second picture may appear cloudy at the bottom, but the reflector inside the unit is causing that affect. The lens is consistently clear from top to bottom for reference.
Does this stuff work? My father's M3 has really bad headlights, it's ten years old, so the headlights have been taking a serious beating the whole time. They're a really dark gray color, so seeing at night is getting pretty difficult.
Before you buy any over price "kit" try using Plastix from Meguiers with a foam pad. My son just restored his headlights for 25 cents ...
