Well, I gave it a shot this weekend. The pictures aren't great, but I can see an improvement in person. Wouldn't hurt to do a second round of sanding and polishing. I spent about 40 minutes total doing the process.

I would say the headlights went from looking 10 years old to maybe 2-3 years old. The second picture may appear cloudy at the bottom, but the reflector inside the unit is causing that affect. The lens is consistently clear from top to bottom for reference.

The pics you gave don't reflect this. What are you using to photograph?

Does this stuff work? My father's M3 has really bad headlights, it's ten years old, so the headlights have been taking a serious beating the whole time. They're a really dark gray color, so seeing at night is getting pretty difficult.

Before you buy any over price "kit" try using Plastix from Meguiers with a foam pad. My son just restored his headlights for 25 cents ...

Well, you can't buy a partial kit for a quarter.

In reality, the best bet unless hurting for cash is to just buy the lenses replacements on the M3...I believe this was a missed troll post though.

Did this to a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan recently and it worked wonders. Went from yellow-hazed to clear. Was barely getting any light output at night and now the road is clearly visible.

Also did this on my cousin's Infiniti G20 (Sentra+) a couple years back with similar results at the time. However, 2 years of Florida sunshine later, they are yellowing again. I've read that headlights come with an anti-UV coating from the factory which slows down the yellowing and once you sand it off the yellowing just happens faster. Might not be a bad idea to spray clearcoat when done.. or just restore the lenses every couple of years / as needed.
