Ditto. For me it's the Abit, Gigabyte, or Intel.

So why not the ASUS, what else is wrong with it besides the CSA?

As far as using ATAPI drives on serial ATA, you can buy adaptors for that. Abit is just real nice and ships them with the mobo. A shame Abit lacks CSA or I would whip it right up.

I remember seeing a bunch of adaptors for IDE to serial ATA on pricewatch. Are yo saying those don't work with ATAPI??

Since the AOpen AX4C-MAX is already available from NewEgg, it would be very helpful if you accelerated that review. You can actually BUY a Retail AOpen - which is not yet true for the Gigabyte and Asus 875P boards.

I'd like to, but AOpen is awful at getting me boards on time (and I hear that other review web sites have the same problems).

From Anandtech's Review Of Intel's 875P M.B.
"The performance improvement that the 875P offers over the 850E is negligible, assuming you're not transitioning to one of the newer 800MHz FSB CPUs. If you are making the transition to an 800MHz FSB CPU with Hyper Threading support, then the 875P migration makes the most logical sense, however upgrading from an 850E to an 875P with anything other than an 800MHz FSB CPU wouldn't be worth it. "
I saw the older 533Mhz Board Keeping up nicely with 875P.
Ive been using an Asus P4T533 based machine for about 6 months now. This IMHO presents a great oppurtunity for those with 850E Based motherboards as the Current Gen Pentium 4 3.06 HT might get get phased out and get replaced with the newer 800Mhz FSB based processors. So cheaper pickings for me with satisfactory performance. I am certainly not going to complain i am happy with my current rig.
This might seem dumb but will (can) VIA release it's own chipset for the new P4's.

Ok Jaeger, I thought I wanted the ASUS board but you almost have me convinced that I want the Gigabyte. Let me ask you outright which should I get? I am a gamer, building my first PC and the price diffrence between the 2 doesn't matter. I thought I wanted the ASUS for all the little extras that come with an ASUS board. Anyone else is welcome to comment, thanks for the input.

I want that lit fan.

Like most companies, they have a normal and deluxe model. I'd assume only the deluxe has a fan.
