dear god dont install it

Im stuck tethered to a charger now, or stuck turning off exhange mail(which I obv did).

I did reboot it when I noticed the insane battery usage, but it didnt help

also the phone is a piece of lit charcoal now thanks to the constant 4g radio usage

first ive heard of issues with it, 2 of my friends updated to it last week and neither of them have started to complain yet and they normally do all the time

also your pic is blocked here so i cant tell what it is.

when i was running 4.2.2. roms i didnt have any issues that with the battey life or mail

It just shows "Exchange Services" and "Email" (69% combined) going NOMNOMNOM on his battery life (3hr 55min).

yeah usually the #1 user of battery is SCREEN, even when I am not really using the phone

Edit - Just checked my Gnex, and its being pushed now. Installing it now. I've no issues factory resetting my back phone again.

My Gnex was never rooted.

I think my Tbolt would last less than 2 hours streaming video on LTE.

Sigh, similar story for me although Baconreader is my number1 use for some reason, even though i don't use it during the day. Battery went all to hell, even sitting here at home on wifi.

Talk to your Exchange admins, see what it's doing.

My Nexus (GSM) went kind of nuts once & started syncing constantly. Deleted the account & re-added it & all was well.

I just upgraded to 4.2.2. Better than expected battery life. Signal bar is lower now, but maintains the same LTE speed. So far no complaint from me.

I don't use exchange though.

My Bluetooth is less than reliable after the 4.2.2 update. I use it to stream music in my car, and it doesn't pair with the car as easily as it used to. I find myself turning the bluetooth radio off and on a couple of times before it works. I used to be able to turn Bluetooth on as I was walking to the car, and it would sync up right away.

Clearing caches helped my nexus 4. Odd that it started with me well after the update, suddenly maps was using tons of battery, then google plus, then gmail. So may or may not apply to you but fixed me up.

I use My Backup Pro (without root) because I bought it before I heard of TBP. It's pretty simple to use. I probably would have gravitated toward TBP had I known TBP has a much nerdier following, but MBP has worked for what I needed.

My GNex isnt rooted, and I was thinking Titanium wanted it to be?

MBP works great for my email, messages, and contacts without root. I believe it saves personal photos and files too, although I can't quite remember for certain.

Even though I've never rooted my T-Bolt or my GNex to really try MBP out, I do know that it claims a lot more functionality with root, yet it works at an essential level without.

Sometimes we see this on devices that have been recently upgraded. You can check the Exchange logs and the device is trying to sync every second or so (thousands of times a day).

Delete your email account and try again. If that doesn't work, do a reset and setup the profile once more.

I finally got around to digging into it more this morning, had to look up where to find the time interval settings because either I forgot, or they moved it, or both

automatic.....it was checking non-freaking-stop.

I uninstalled and then reinstalled baconreader in my case, today was appropriate battery use (mayhaps a bit better). Guess when it did the 'app update' thing it messed something up.


Also it seems my phone is waking much less during the day, might see an improvement just from that.

I finally got the update and now when I try to install some screen pops up and says installation failed. I think it's clockwork mod recovery? Says something about a signature file being incorrect. I haven't tinkered with this thing so have no idea. I did buy it used from FS/T here and thought I did a full wipe but maybe not. Any ideas on how I can get past this?

This update pissed me off! All of my users who have this phone and updated have toasted their exchange email. I had to redo email on 5 phones already. Now it works as it should. I should note that when I set up these phones last year I had to use weird settings. Normally it is domain\user but initially the nexus was \domain@user which I thought was weird. ANyway, this update broke it and setting couldnt be edited so I had to delete accounts and recreate them. PITA.
