I bought a Playstation the day it came out and it worked perfectly for years.
I bought a Playstation 2 the day it came out and it worked perfectly for years.
My first DVD player (Panasonic DVD-A110) died on me after 18 months. My Panasonic cordless phone died on me after 18 months. Did Panasonic do anything about it? No. Was it there fault that the products died after the warranty period? No.
Electronics don't last forever anymore.
