I did the "Connections 29 day trial then cancel" thing in 98. In 99 and again in 2000 my credit card got charged for re-upping the subscription. I had to call each time. I don't know whether I would have gotten charged again in 2001 because I cancelled the card they had, but my guess is that they would have tried again...

I tried doing this a couple years ago..
It's a PAIN in the butt.

If I remembered correctly, first they sent you something you fill out..
then they only give the ticket after you fill it out and you're still a member when they process it.

In short, I didn't get the tickets & had to pay the $1.

I just tried it last month and that was not the first time I tried it.

There is a big catch You just don't get the tickets for trying it for a month. they send you a cuopon for the tickets, which you have to fill and return to them. Then they *process* that and then send the tickets to you. and you have to be an active member at the time tehy send you teh tickets....

Needles to say, I have never recieved those tickets... And I had hell of a problem cancelling the account on 29th day of teh trial... for 4 consecutive days, tehy would tell me 'Systems are down... Sorry can't access your account today) They did chareg me $79.99 and I had to call them 5 times aftyer taht to revert back the charges...

Would like to know if anybody else actually got the free tickets and cancelled also within thye 30-day trial..

This type of offer is the same old story. Not a hot deal, infact no deal at all.

Always a hassel to quit, always billing issues, then you never really get whatever silly thing you were supposed to get.

This type of deal=no satisfaction.


Sorry about the rant but (in my mind) it is true...
