Wow, I couldn't believe it when I scored this deal... Buy.com has the Cables to Go 4 Way PS2 Monitor Keyboard Mouse Automatic switches for $79, and there is a $10 off $75 discount available (see at bottom). Ironically, they sell the same model, with same warranty, etc... in their Computer section for $234.95! I haven't been able to find a decent switch anywhere at this price, and this same model cannot even be found on Pricewatch for this low!

Damn B! Outstanding find!
That beats the hell outta the Belkin KVM I'm currently using.

Damn you again for making my credit card bill so high!!

Any suggestions for integrated KVM cable sets? I've got the seperated cables and they're a mess - I'm looking for the ones that are all in one big happy cable.

Drat...Maximum VGA resolution is 1024x768 (80Hz). I have been
looking for a reasonably priced switch that'll do 1600x1200 @80-85.
I haven't found one...

A couple of other issues I discovered when searching:

Early versions of the CS-104 switch box don't support NT.

The CS-104 switch box does not support Logitech wheel mice. I don't
know about other wheel mice.

Looks like a good deal, though, if it suits your requirements!

Without looking, I'd guess that this unit would need some AC power. I haven't seen a KVM that doesn't.

For those of us in the USB world (USB keyboards & mice), you might wanna look at the IOGear MiniView USB KVM Switch Kits. There is a 2-port version that runs about $90 and a 4-port up around $130. (Amazon.com currently has lowest on 2-port.) These kits include all cables.

From what I've read, it uses standard cables, but correct me if I'm wrong. I'm going to try and hunt down some cable deals now, post any if you've got them!

What do you mean you found one that didn't work with NT? Are these software driven some how?

Okay, I just realized what a KVM cable was, duh! Okay, now the link from the name to the picture in my head has been symbolically linked, I need a KVM deal! If you have existing cables and a big mess, here's some deals at Amazon. A few weeks back, I used a sleuth of my $5 gift certificates to order a bunch of these when they were doing free shipping in Electronics without a minimum It's a shame they turned that off! Anyways, they still make a good item to blow those $5 gift certificates on or to top off an order:

Case Logic Cable Ties:

Thin http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00004TZF9/ $2.99
Thick http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00004TZFR/ $4.99

How does this compare to the linksys one ([l]http://www.us.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=10232551&loc=101[/url].

It's about the same price, but I've read good reviews about the Linksys model.

I haven't tried the Linksys one, but the Cables to Go model is the same one I have at work, score! We paid $300+ for ours at work, it's very nice, all electronic, no ghosting like manual switches, still a great deal! I can't believe they are selling them so cheap, e-Bay them!

I just took a KVM switch back and bought a third monitor instead.. STAPLES has a $70 17" monitor. forget the switch. unless your tight on space. I was switching between a second conputer, and sharing the monitor as the helper on a dual monitor setup for my workstation... now I have 3 monitors and no more switch. I like it this way much better.\

For the record PIXIE monitors do suck.

I think this may be a better deal since it includes 4ft cable kit - Linksys 2-port

If you really need a 4 port try this one but no cables - Linksys 4 - port

I currently have a cybex switchview 2 port. I later bought a Compucable PowerReach kvm thinking it would be better than the cybex. It retails for a lot more and I could get it for an amazing price ($66). It's build quality looked better than the cybex (rackmountable, steel chassis, separate power - very similar to the switch in buy.com's clearance). I was wrong. When playing q3a or ut, the keyboard would hang up and ghosting was worse.

I returned it and kept the cybex.

If you end up buying separate kvm cables, cheap video cables will produce more ghosting. Also make sure you get the right ones. Some of the video cables required for kvm require M-M, others required M-F.
