Some guy once bought a $2500 used limo, went to the airport with a sign that read "$30, any place within the city." A couple of years later, he now have a fleet of limo :O

that's essentially how Richard Branson started Virgin Atlantic. Except, he did have some pocket change to charter a small private plane, but other than that, it was a marker and sign board in response to one of his flights being canceled.

he walked around the gate, took on passengers for a flight that he chartered to his destination--basically had them pay for the charter that he agreed to front.

Well...I'm sure there was a little more to it, but that's his story, any way.

Next door to your tattoo parlor. Would imagine start up costs wouldn't be too high. Find an experienced artist that wants his own shop but is $$ poor. Split the profits. $40K should be way more that enough to start.

No, you hire shitty artists in the tattoo parlor.

Right next to the bar that I own with cheap liquor.

That's a good 1-2-1-3 punch right there:

--liquored up ahead of tattoo
--walk next door for tattoo
--return to get liquored up because of shitty tattoo
--walk next door to get tattoo removed

Now all you need is a re-hab clinic.

:hmm:

and maybe a boutique that sells faberge eggs....

I'd start a self-sufficient mobile auto and boat detailing company, 2 vans with employees, fully trained. All I'd have to do is keep them busy

What kind of law business?

Any kind of law, really. You'll need about 10k-15k for a year of malpractice insurance, and maybe 10k grand for all the trimmings of a decent home office. Meeting space can be rented by the hour in most major cities.

Appreciate the input, but I'm not talking about running a private gym. I'm talking about offering a service. Well run, organized adult athletics. They are EXTREMELY popular year round, in Florida at least. I've done the math. The profits are huge and the costs to run are VERY cheap.

I don't even need to own the fields. I can rent them from the county at public parks (which I have done) and turn a really nice profit. The problem is I don't have the money to put into advertising to get it going, which is necessary. You really need 6 teams minimum to run a league, so its not something that can start slow. You gotta get enough people interested right away, which requires an advertising investment up front.

Radio ads aren't that expensive.

Craigslist is free.

Then there is twitter/facebook/etc.
