Thanks! This is just what I've been waiting for. Now I can install "evaluation" copies of Vista and Office on all my computers at a palatable expense.

I don't see anyone mentioning this, but for anyone that bought it using the coupon, have you received your login info from MS? Just wondering on average how long it takes.

Cool, just wanted to make sure someone got in using this deal.

PS I paid yesterday. It's going to be nice to have all this software to do testing.

Yeah, I think they just want to make sure the CC clears first.

A few hoops to jump through. I had to establish a Windows Live ID, then link my subscription to it. Not a biggie, but I found nothing intuitive about the procedure.

I'm man enough to admit I'm slightly confused about all the different options/versions available. I'm guessing the most recent is the way to go. I have only looked at what's available in the Vista world so far though.

If only they would include Windows XP I'd hop on it.

XP and Vista are included

No Windows 2000 (except server)
No Windows 98 or ME
No Windows 95
No Windows NT

Includes MS-DOS 6 and 6.22 and Windows 3.11

LoL, ain't that the truth. I'm planning on hitting up Vista, XP, Office, and Server 2008 at first log-in. Going to go more over my Bandwidth quota

PS When did you purchase? I'm so anxious to log on I can hardly wait. It's like Christmas in May.

FYI, I placed my order last Thursday and got the login information on Monday night.

I'm seriously confused about the Vista images. I want to get one with SP1 installed, but I'm not sure if it's HP, Ultimate, etc.

"Windows Vista with Service Pack 1 (x86) - DVD (English)"

If you don't know what the checked/debug versions are, you basically don't need them.

Do the software licenses/keys expire when the one year subscription does or are they pretty much good forever?

YES - that was the answer from the $99 TechNet deal a few months ago. The licenses are good forever, but you just won't be able to download anything from the Technet site after the subscription expires.

stupid question... but if you get the physical CD/DVD version, can you also download, or do

you wait for a periodic product package like the action pack subscriptions?

EDIT...

nevermind... question answered:

Software is available for download and includes regular DVD shipments.

so here's the next question, what advantages does the more expensive cd/dvd option have over the download only? is there anything you get other than the nice pretty CD/DVDs?

So wait are the keys volume keys that allow 10 installations or do you have to request a key for each one?

Looking through the catalogue now, I got my subscription information

TechNet Plus Direct FTW

I'm glad I got in on the $99 deal, money well spent to fiddle around with Microsoft software

Any number of devices sounds like unlimited to me.

I'm pretty sure that you get ten activations per a license.

10 per license. If more is needed you can call for additional licenses once your 10 runs out.

Mine goes live monday i hope. Need to get up to speed on MS Active Directory, and dont want to start with server 2003.
