Um canada is really close to US now that bush fvcked up the economy. It's 0.8 of what US is worth, so that's $320.

Thats the provincial tax...federal tax (Quebec and Newfoundland donations) is on top of that.

Alberta loses about 1 billion dollars a month in transfer payments to other provinces.

My wife's friend lives up in Alberta and told her about the check. They own a store up there and said business has been smoking because of the oil checks.

Alaska has similar program in the US and similar benefits.

They have to pay me lot more to live up there in the cold.

I live in Calgary, Alberta and received my $400 Prosperity cheque last week. And the flat tax only applies to incomes under roughly $30 if I recall correctly.
