400sc... will a celery work??

i just got in on the dell 400sc server deal over in the hot deals forum and wanted to know if i could swap out the cpu and put a celery in... will it work? if so what kind of celery will i need?

i want to keep the cpu and sell the rest with a celery to recoup some of the cost of the 3.2cpu.. thanks!

the 400sc is a server.. the deal i got in on has a 3.2 800 FSB.... the 875 chipset... is there a compatible celery?

Any 478 pin Celeron should work. I am in on the same deal, and I am doing the opposite as you (keeping the computer and selling the processor).

From the Unofficial 400SC FAQ

"Seeing that the lowest model Celeron offered is a 400MHz CPU, it will work in this motherboard. Older Celerons and Pentium 4's running a 400MHz bus have also been reported as working."

how the heck do i remove the heatsink from the cpu??? i dont know how i should do this without snapping off the green tabs
