I haven't been too active here because I'm trying to build my squat back up, once it's close to 300 again I'll start posting updates.

I actually was not planning on hitting a PR on the deadlift, I did something to my back a couple of weeks ago and had only lifted lightly since, yesterday was my first day I was planning on lifting heavy, and I figured I'd have to reduce the weight, but 225 flew up no problem, so did 275, then 315, so I said WTF, threw on 365 for a single, switched out for the 4th wheel, and crushed it

Jeebus dude, that was easy. Rip would be impressed with the form. Great job. One day I will get there, one day.

Yeah, for some reason I'm a ridiculous deadlifter. I'd trade it for a 315 squat though.

I read your Bench Press thread, congrats on that.

Nice job, man.

Are you wearing Oly shoes while deadlifting? I always hated doing that during my CF workouts because it made me feel like I was falling forward. Maybe you could squeeze out a few more pounds in some flat shoes (if you actually are wearing Oly shoes. Otherwise, disregard ).

Yeah, I feel pretty stable in them. Maybe I could lift a little more with a flatter heel, but the wedge is not too aggressive.

They day I pulled my first 405 was exciting, and on video! I'm guilty of not wearing flats too, not too much to worry about. 405 for reps is pretty damn nice. A good strong core like bull!

Good pulls. You had plenty more weight/reps in you. Hard to believe you canf squat 315

My mate can only squat about 130-140kg AT BEST, but he can pull 215kg. 6'1, long arm and long legs. The police were like WTF when they tested him. They had this funky contraption where it would test how much force you can pull on a fix bar. He scored on of the highest readings they had measured lol.

We all know how I'm an epic lifter, but 3 plates is nothing... especially when considering you could pull 4 plates +..

Heck even now that I'm not even a heavyweight I could do a full dead lift workout @ 4 plates +, throw in a few sets of rack pulls and still hammer out 315 for plenty of reps. I guess I'm lucky all three of my lifts are relatively decent.

I was just pointing out how my mates squat is relatively poor but his pulling strength is pretty solid.

My DL is very sub par

@ 6'1" he has an advantage with deads. us short guys don't have it that easy

It's limb lengths and I have fairly long arms as well. I have a prolapsed L4 so maximum lifting has never been my strong point.

I don't think it's his height, it's his crazy strong back. He can pull with a slightly rounded back but I never pull like that. I pull with a perfectly straight back for OLifting and it's not crazy strong like his back. I'll see about going heavier on Cn pulls after my comp in 2 weeks. I should see some solid strength gains as I get over my diet in 3 weeks and start to bulk.
