I failed my written test the 1st time... took it 15 minutes later, still without cracking the book, and passed. It depends on how obscure your questions are. I had a question about backing out of a hidden driveway and 3 of the 4 answers sounded very correct. I mean, wtf... do you have to find this stuff in the manual to get 100%?
You admit to failing the written test? Even if you passed it right after, the fact that you failed it at all shows you have to have serious brain damage (honestly, we had mentally retarded people at our high school pass the written test).
Goes to show you it depends on the questions you get... and fairly evident from this thread the wording matters too. I thought that was obvious by now.
I think it's very much like an A+ cert test. It's pretty easy but there will be questions in there that you need to crack a book for. Other thread proved many didn't know what they thought they knew.
