If it doesn't take any real talent why don't you enter in a couple of races make $5-10 million and retire?

I love all the fighting over whether Jap is offensive or not when every other post has HICK, REDNECK, OR HILLBILLY in it usually with some other derogatory term in front or after it.

You people are simply too damned sensitive. Jap and Nip both came about as simple abbreviations of Japanese and Nipponese...and you know it. If you want to make it racist that is your issue. They called Germans Krauts and other interesting names but those aren't racist.....at least Jap and Nip are acutal abbreviations. If you want to call me a cracker go right ahead as I will simply laugh at you for being a dumbass. I am of German descent too so go ahead and call me a Kraut or Jerry it sure isn't going to bother me.

BTW, the more people bitch and moan about terms like Jap the more I am going to be inclined to use them. Grow some damned skin. This goes right along with the whole Oriental thing...that one is even funnier to listen to people bitch about.

Once again, Ronstag...

Exactly! If the racings hot at the front. The good ol'boys will let back markers take out Yota. After about two years tops, Toyota will give the good ol'boys a pants down spanking before all present.

You want racism. Go to Japan to work, live or marry. Japan is in the top ten for a closed society. Even American born Japanese are shuned.

It's all stupid because we all bleed red.

Jap / Nip isn't offensive to the person who says it (of course not). But if some people find it offensive (big deal was made when Bill Parcells said "jap plays") then just don't say it. It maybe just an abbreviation but the words were used in a derogatory manner therefore the negative relationship to it. The word cracker is just a snack but it's used in a derogatory manner as well.

I am offended by your username (despite it being misspelled). It is a derogatory term for the type of person I am.

It's spelled Schlong, read my profile maybe I should've made my name Sh_long if underscore is allowed in usernames.

That like saying I'm offended by your mispelling of Anonymous. People are offended by various things and derogatory terms is a pretty good reason. Being offended by misspellings on wordplay/puns is idiotic.

Oh shut up. Everything that comes out of your mouth gets dumber and dumber.

The fact is the term "jap" is offensive to a great number of people out there. And the fact that you, or your lame ass friends don't know any better is irrelevent.

I'll go back to my original statement - you're an ignoramus. And I don't care if YOU'RE offended by that.

I doubt he will be offended. I get the feeling he is one of those people that realize they are in control of their emotions and not other people.

No. Why would I? If someone called me a ****** it would just be odd. Maybe you should ask someone in a demographic that has traditionally found it offensive. Maybe you could even add some context.

Are there words for my race that some would choose to take offense to? Sure. Do I choose to? No.

How am I being ignorant? I chose to use the abbreviation of the word "Japanese" in a non-offensive, non-derogatory manner, yet someone else chose to be offended by it. It's all about reading comprehension people.

The (intentional) stupidity that you see in my arguments with Shlong is on the same level of stupidity that I see in everyone else's arguments over my use of the abbreviation of "Japanese".

And what are some people gettting so up in arms about regarding the word Jap? It's not like using the "N" word, anyway. It's just short for Japanese. I see nothing racial about it. That's like someone calling Stephen, Steve for short.
