Nice price, shame it is not PCI-E... I am running out of PCI slots. I take it that this one does not have the audio ram on it? (not that it matters much)

Great price, especially with no rebate.

The new X-Fi Titanium is already out, and offers PCIE and DDLive/DTS Connect real-time encoding and output. PCIE should clear up any residual PCI bus noise/conflicts and DDLive/DTS Connect is a feature many have wanted on Sound Blaster cards since it was introduced with NF2's SoundStorm. Its good but not good enough to shell out $150 for imo. Also, keep in mind Creative has promised DDLive/DTS connect enabling drivers for all X-Fi....but they said July for Beta drivers and we still don't have them.

If you're going for these options you're better off waiting for the Auzentech X-Fi Home Theater which will offer both of those features along with full HDMI 1.3 support (lossless/uncompressed HD bitstreams and 8ch LPCM over HDMI). All of this with EAX 5 in games too.

I jumped on this deal this morning. I can finally get rid of my onboard audio. I also picked up an 8800GT to go with it. I should have fun gaming in a few days when it all gets here.

Just a heads up, this is the crippled x-fi card. You might want something like the xtreme music, which is a full fledged x-fi card.

"Buy the XtremeMusic, the rest are just gimmicks. It costs a little more, but the XtremeMusic is the lowest end on the "real" X-Fi line (yes the others use the X-Fi chips but they are crippled)"

"The stripped down cards lack a few ports, can not work with the X-Fi series of bay drives, and maybe have slightly lower quality DACs (do NOT quote me on that!!!). Plus I think they do not come with all the software as the other X-Fi cards (which if you ask me is probably a good thing)."

"it already showed that xtremegamer is a lower-end of xfi..."

This card is not crippled; you are thinking of the xtreme audio. The xtreme music has been discontinued, but can still be found online.

This is an excellent card, and there is definitely a huge difference between onboard sound and this, provided you aren't using really cheap quality speakers.

Mine will be here Monday. One of the best deals I have gotten in a while. Last week I picked up a D Link Wireless N router for 39.99 shipped when they had the deal.

New X-Fi Titanium is not able however to DECODE DD/dts onboard like the other X-Fis used to. Of course I didn't know that when I bought it
