4625 miles later, I arrived in AZ

I left Lebanon NH on Monday, September 5. I stopped in NC, MO, CO, NV, and CA prior to ending the trip in AZ. Here are a few relevant photos I took along the way.

At the Atlantic ocean in Massachusetts:

Unfortunately I hit the Dragon when it was dark. The weather (and forecast) was quite meh, so I didn't bother waiting for daylight - ran most of it in the dark with dry roads, and it started raining the next day.

Not much else until Arches in Utah:

Hollywood, CA:

Pacific ocean / Coronado bridge in CA:

And finally, Arizona!

The car was great. The only issue I have is a loose AC belt (sometimes have to rev up to 4.5k+ to get it to catch again), so I'll take care of that soon.

Heh, I think one car drove by while I did that, and no one was in sight when I pulled back out. That was out in the middle of nowhere.

How was Hollywood? Was it everything you expected?

Well, it was a sign...and a long, winding, uphill road to get there..would've been a lot of fun with no traffic, no houses, no people, and no speed limit.

Other than that, yeah, not much to speak of.

I think Seaworld or downtown San Diego would have been more interesting. The Midway is amazing. Next time you visit I'd recommend that.

I know the allure of the Hollywood sign though. When I first moved here I got lost looking for that stupid sign.

the dragon at night sounds like fun, I did some mountains on the way to Sedona at night in the snow. That was fun (the terrifying gritting your teeth kind).

Still in a hiring process with Tempe, but haven't been given an offer yet. There are a few armed security positions available so I'll go for those as well.

My butt wasn't too happy after 3-4 hours, but other than that it wasn't really that bad. I'm so glad I put a new head unit (with aux/usb) in before I left, though.

My sister really wanted to see it, so that's where we went - I'll be a lot closer to San Diego than her. I really enjoyed San Diego (what little of it I saw), so I'm sure I'll be back.

Nice, I love road trips. Summer of 2010 I drove from Toronto - Vancouver - Big Sur - Few other places - and cut back across US through Nevada/Utah home...

The only thing LA was good for is Rodeo Drive... if you like that kinda stuff. San Diego on the other hand is amazing.
