If I pull the 2x512s in this Dell 8400, (533 speed), will these 667s work fine (at the speed permitted by the braindead Dell BIOS)?

Just a heads up for anyone considering buying this RAM from Computers4sure.com. The RAM I received from them has the same part as the product mentioned on the rebate form, but it was not Micron D9HNL RAM. The chips were manufactured by Samsung. They are as follows:
M3 78T2953CZ3-CE6
This was disappointing to say the least. The RAM seems to be good up to 430Mhz (DDR2-860) @ 2.2v with a Biostar Tforce P965PT motherboard. The actual vdimm voltage supplied by the board is reported as ~2.13v - ~2.18v. The memory would report errors in Memtest when run at 443Mhz and my system rebooted during an Orthos run when the RAM was set to 436Mhz.

Just to update, this is what i received also....
What does this mean? Can this still do DDR2-800Mhz, with reasonable 5-5-5-12 latencies? Or is it a wash? I plan on putting this a MB with a Q6600 once the prices go down on july 22nd...

It will probably be another 6-8 weeks before anyone can say that.
RAM prices seem to have edged up 15-20% in the last 2 weeks. I think it's possible this HP RAM is the lowest we will see.
BTW, I don't see any warranty info, so I assume it's OEM stuff with 1 year at best.

Your Option Limited Warranty is a one (1) year (HP Option Limited Warranty Period) parts replacement warranty on any HP-branded or Compaq-branded options (HP Options). If your HP Option is installed in an HP Hardware Product, HP may provide warranty service either for the HP Option Limited Warranty Period or the remaining Limited Warranty Period of the HP Hardware Product in which the HP Option is being installed, whichever period is the longer but not to exceed three (3) years from the date you purchased the HP Option.
You have Micron D9HNL. Google is your friend...Originally posted by: Roark1138
Got mine today. Given all the talk, I'm a little confused about what I got.
They are branded Micron, but the numbers are:

Are you photocopying the sticks of memory? Or just using the box labels?
All the box numbers are identitical. The number on the far right chip on each stick of ram does have a unique number. Is that what people photocopied?
