yes, but it will run at 533 speed, unless you alter the speed in the bios (Dell OEM boards often have VERY limited adjustments).

if my past experiences with HP rebates are any indication, it should be good, and prompt, too. I've gotten back almost $800 of HP rebates in two years.

This is a bit odd wording. 100.00 to 200.00 maximum. Well, is it a max of 100 or 200? Make up your mind.

"Your rebate check(s) equal to amount indicated above up to a maximum of $100 to $200 per end user individual or company, business address, location and/or household"

EDIT: I get it. The upper rebate offers on the page are for 20.00, the lower ones are for 40.00. You get a max of 5 rebates

It will probably be another 6-8 weeks before anyone can say that.

RAM prices seem to have edged up 15-20% in the last 2 weeks. I think it's possible this HP RAM is the lowest we will see.

BTW, I don't see any warranty info, so I assume it's OEM stuff with 1 year at best.

M3 78T2953CZ3-CE6

This was disappointing to say the least. The RAM seems to be good up to 430Mhz (DDR2-860) @ 2.2v with a Biostar Tforce P965PT motherboard. The actual vdimm voltage supplied by the board is reported as ~2.13v - ~2.18v. The memory would report errors in Memtest when run at 443Mhz and my system rebooted during an Orthos run when the RAM was set to 436Mhz.

Here's a pic: Click Me!

Just to update, this is what i received also....

What does this mean? Can this still do DDR2-800Mhz, with reasonable 5-5-5-12 latencies? Or is it a wash? I plan on putting this a MB with a Q6600 once the prices go down on july 22nd...

According to the link off of the HP website it is 1 year.

I got my 4 from pcsuperstore, a couple of the security strips were damaged but not in a way that suggested the package was opened, just that it had been rubbing around other packages for quite some time... The plastic package inside the box was un-damaged, so I'm not going to complain.

I just got mine from pcsuperstore yesterday. All were samsung like Mint_Boy said. They were also not all of the same week which is a little annoying.

Got mine today. Given all the talk, I'm a little confused about what I got.

They are branded Micron, but the numbers are:
MT8HTF12864AY-667E1

which UPCs are people sending back in as Proof of Purchase?

Are you photocopying the sticks of memory? Or just using the box labels?

All the box numbers are identitical. The number on the far right chip on each stick of ram does have a unique number. Is that what people photocopied?

I was just about to ask the exact same question. Also, what number is the serial number? All the numbers on my sticks are the same.

the upc sticker is on the box, the serial number is the s/c number on the RAM (or you can view it using cpu-z). I sent photocopy of the upc stickers AND the RAM sticks, just to be on the safe side.
