No kidding. It isn't ignorance, but BECAUSE we can't find a computer monitor at that size and resolution for $320. Maybe $1320, but not $320.If you can afford it a 43" monitor intended for computer use will be superior to a 43" television for computing...

Actually that is cheap for a 43" 4K monitor. I paid $1000 for my Dell 30" 1600p display back in the middle of 2013. Maybe I'll buy this for my birthday next year.Well yes they are expensive, but what price can you put on a big beautiful display?

Was 'ET430Kwmiiqppx' on the box for the unit you bought from NewEgg?
Picked up an Asus Et430K wmiiqppx last week. So bright it seems washed out, even when I turn brightness down to 25%. Is this normal for this display?
I noticed same thing with my samsung. Used the rtings settings and it looks wonderful, except brightness on white items washes out. When looking at a browser and moving along bookmarks, I see the mouse but can't see the indication for what I'm mousing over. Have turned brightness all the way down and it's now better but probably a tad too high still.
I don't have that option in my version of the AMD settings. But my colors look great, just a tad to bright and the TV itself doesn't have a good brightness range. I did play with the brightness setting on the AMD settings page and got it better though. You should both make sure you're using the full RGB color space ... had the same issue plugging my PC into my 55" Samsung TV.

That could be covered under a pixel policy, look up the specifics for that company and or model I suppose.Turned it on last weekend to find a cluster of dead pixels right in the center of the screen...less than 6 months old.
Probably about 15-18 dead subpixels.
It is, >5 subpixels. $228 to ship it to their repair facility though. Have to see if I can get them to pay for that. That could be covered under a pixel policy, look up the specifics for that company and or model I suppose.
That shipping cost kills that, hopefully they'll work with you.It is, >5 subpixels. $228 to ship it to their repair facility though. Have to see if I can get them to pay for that.
Ok I see lg 32 inch for 388. Have a good feeling it will drop to 300ish in 3 weeks
I've been using that display for about a month and love it... for monitor and TV as well. Its Roku just shocked me with it's integrated FF/Pause/Rewind timeshifting. Costco is selling it's equivalent right now, the TCL 43S403 for $229.97, free shipping. I find it's black levels very adequate. We just picked up the 43" TCL 43S405 Roku 4K HDR TV for $349 for the bedroom. It's a 60Hz VA panel without local dimming, but the black uniformity is still very good. HDR isn't mind-blowing since it doesn't get super bright, but I tested Destiny 2 last night and it looked MUCH better than my SDR monitor. Due to the viewing angle of VA, you have to sit about 3-4 feet away to get uniform picture quality, but 4K60 444 looks great. 15ms input lag is decent as well! Built in Plex app among other 4K streaming apps. Gotta say that I'm really impressed. It's no OLED, but it's 1/10th the price!
