$5.00 OFF online purchases at BestBuy.com on the way

I just got an e-mail for $5.00 off any online purchase at BestBuy.com. For those of you that got the last one, keep an eye out for this one.

I'm being oppressed! I only ever got the original online grand opending pre-sign up thingy one. I know I missed out on at least a $10 one recently. And I have bought schtuff from them too, not a lot of schtuff but still... curs.

Last time they sent out the "coupons" i was able to stack them and use them for a gc. Not a bad deal

That's strange. Last time they sent a coupon out, almost everybody got it. I'm not sure what I've done to recieve them, but it seemed like it was a mass mailing and not just for me.

Cool. I just signed up. If I get this coupon, I'll have to buy another Philips CD-R Drive..that'll make it a CD-R that's better than free cuz you'll get about 5 dollar back depending on tax.

BTW to the person who said they used the last one to buy a gift card -- that is interesting as the rules said it could not be used for that. I guess that's what I get for believing their email!

I got my $5 email from BB today. They also sent 10% off coupons via snail mail. For free shipping you can always order online and specify a B&M pickup (assuming there's one close by).

I actually emailed them about those "preferred customer" discount coupons and how I could get on the list as there is not a store in my immediate area but I go out of my way to shop there. They actually told me:

Regarding your inquiry, eligibility to receive our Preferred Customer mailings are based on certain criteria, including past purchase history. Unfortunately, at this time we do not have the ability to add customers to this eligibility list.

So much for that!

I used the $10 off coupon/gc the last time to pay for a Gameboy case for my daughter, it was actually a good deal, $9.99 plus tax. But I had to find a store that had it in stock, and as we were on vacation that weekend I hoped to find one en route home but most did not have it in stock! I wouldn't mind getting a $5 one now, as I will be near a BB this weekend and could pick something up.
