Are those MS optical wheel mouse OEM or retail boxed? Because aren't they the ones with the $10 MIR? $3 + tax after MIR would be awesome for that mouse. I think its probably OEM. Anyone know?

They are retail according to the picture/description. They are usually pretty good on letting you know if its OEM or not, as they did on the Microsoft Keyboard (which is OEM).

Too bad I don't really like Microsoft Keyboards or mice. Btw, they also have Logitech OEM Deluxe 104 Keyboards for $10. I picked up the last two at the South Coast store, but I know the past Sunday there was a grip load of them at the Industry store.

Im going to go check if they have any basic Logitech mice....

Okay the Micrsoft mice are OEM I believe. They look exactly the same but no packaging or anything. Theres some OEM logitech mice for $17 also, but not worth it IMO.

I picked up the Altec Lansing ACS22 speakers, because I just needed some cheap ones that were decent for a second computer. Cost me $16 w/ tax about and I'm pretty satisfied. Treble is clean, but the bass is lackin as you can't feel any of it at all.. but I guess thats expected from 5 watt speakers w/ no subwoofer. =P

The MS optical Mouse is OEM. But it comes with the USB -> PS/2 adpater. Pretty neat for $12.99. Now I have a dilema. I have two new mouses. Which one should I use & which one should I bundle with the rig I'm building.

Keep which mouse?
1) Logitech Logitech Opitcal Wheelmouse (The Blue one!) $15 @ Frys
2) Microsoft Whell Optical Mouse $13 @ PC Club

What a ridiculous bunch of stupid windows and configuration you have to go through to order. Caramba! :disgust: Forget it PCClub!

Thanks for the post, though.

There are a couple of them here in Las Vegas, and their website mentions stores in some other locations.

Another way of getting MS stuff cheap:
If you know a friend working for MS, they can buy software for 10% of MSRP and hardware at really cheap price.
I got officekeybd for about $30 and intellimouse optical explorer for about $25 last xmas, winxp pro for 10% of 300 = $30.
But it comes marked "for personal use only - not for resale."
