It is the gamevue. The LCD is used for PSONE but has just RCA no s-video connectors. you can used with any vcr or dvd player. You do not need to connect to the PSONE
AT FRY'S b&m AND OUTPOST.com

bought few a wk ago, will install on my car. Works fine. needs to buy power source. or use the original power source from the PSONE.
Needs at least 2A, i tried 1A and was not enough. The cheapest cigarette adaptor was for 6 usd from Hong Kong. Don't know the shipping fee.

Out off stock at OUTPOST.COM

VERY CHEAP CAR ADAPTOR AT LIK-SANG.COM
AROUND 6 USD FOR ONE. I ORDERED 8 AND WAS 2.6 USD FOR EACH ONE AND SHIPPING WAS 17usd. total was 37.8 USD

Does anyone know if Fry's has this for the same price?

Edit: LOL, I guess I can't read. I assume it is the same price at Fry's since that is what you just said.

This has been talked about a bit over at the hardforums. My recollection from posts there is that the power supply you need to buy is 7.5 volts at 2 amps. Since I just got word that I'm not getting my 80 Gig hard drive from Staples for $60, I'll probably order this instead.

5.6" LCD at outpost.com for $49.99! Good deal for a small LCD

That's better than the 5" LCD that I got for $128 at partsexpress.com
I used my 5" LCD for a case mod. 5" LCD fit perfectly in the 3.5" drive bays on the Lian Li PC65.
link1, link2, link3

I just had to plug the composite video signal from 5"LCD into my PCI video card and wire the LCD to 12volts and ground through Molex connectors.

original mod seen here

You will have to wrestle with my 3 year old for it. I will be sure to juice him up with Swedish Fish first.... him and his almost 2 year old brother. You don't stand a chance...lol

Here's a better view--at $197! This is a really good price. If I was still carpooling for trips to and from college, I'd definitely get this.

Btw, depending on what you had in mind, it's worth pointing out that you can get a portable TV/VCR with a 9" or 13" screen for around $200. This will work great in most backseats, if you are buying something for the kids.

I'm wondering if I should get one of these along with a uninterupterable power supply and hook them up to my replay. If this summer is anything like last summer in California there will be a lot a blackouts and long boring days. I wonder how long a UPS can power a replay. If a replay's power consumption is at the same level as a computer this idea isn't a good one cause I'll only get like 20min of veiwng time but hey it's a idea.

PKPunk,

the APC UPS I got from recent CC deal uses 12V Pb-acid battery. K-Mart has car batteries (same chemistry, 12V) for cheap now--you've got the idea, right? Check your UPS if it's 12V inside, get the car battery, connect it instead of internal--there's your Uninterruptable Home Theatre 4ever!

Little off-topic, but could be hot deal:

Car inverter 12V->110V is about $80 (300W unit), 300W UPS is $10 after rebate... Anybody tried to use UPS as an inverter? I mean, remove internal battery, wire this sucker to cigarette lighter, replace lighter fuse with 30-amp one... Anybody did that?
