Logan's Run for $5.99 as well I believe. Great DVD if you enjoy the movie. Personally, I think Logan's Run is one of the few truly great movies of the '70s, along with the first two Star Wars movies of course .
Didn't "Empire Strikes Back" officially come out in 1980, not the 1970's?
it was made from 1977-1979 and released in 1980
I actually got the trilogy dvd set from some online store based in malaysia.
the quality looks about the same as video tapes which is probably the source since these were the special edition versions which only came out on vhs. the dvds include chapters which beat out vcds and they only cost $10 each. I'm not waiting for Lucas!
ALl you get from getting those kind of DVDs is the Chapter ability. They just put the VHS quality on a DVD and sell it to you. But I guess if you need to jump around in a movie that much, it might be some benefit to you... *shrug*
It's concievable that they are transfered from LaserDisc (which, IMHO, is still better than DVD) I know the Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition is out on LD. Or from master tapes that were obtained somehow. Maybe SVHS Retail tapes (many movies ARE available on SVHS)
Ran out to CC, but Logan's Run is marked $14.99 and rings up as $12.99. I didn't buy it, but was looking for bargains at Target B&M tonight, and guess what I found.
Logan's Run on DVD for $5.99. Good movie, and exactly what I wanted to pay for it.
