Where I am, you can get a Big Mac for $2... so this booklet for $13 means $3 for 5 orders of large fries... I don't quite get why it's a flaming hot deal on slickdeals front page. /shrug
one way to guarantee this is to ask for some kind of modification like "no pickles", though i don't know how anyone could mess with such a long-standing beacon of fast-food perfection. So ask/wait for items right out of the cookerYeah but the shit from McD's is always cold

Given that I can not stand dill pickles on my burgers :$- this has worked perfectly for me.
Most places have the BigMac at around $2.89-$3.59 unless a promo.
Large fries are usually $1.89

A large fries is probably at least $2 in your area too. If you say it's less than $2 for a large, then I would say you are completely wrong and/or lying.
Therefore, 5 x $2 = $10. So $10 worth of fries for $3 is a pretty slick/hot deal. And chances are, a large fries is more than $2, and add tax to that, and you're looking at an even bigger saving.
Him: dude bad timing
Him: my dad's left main artery was 99% occluded!
Me: wait what? when did that happen?
Him: this morning
Him: had angioplasty
Me: whoa
Him: just got in a little while ago
Me: now what?
Him: well, now the artery is clear, stent is in place. Gonna stay overnight then be discharged
Me: then i should not buy the coupons for him?
That sounds delicious. I'll have that with no pickles. Besides, I could always use some more testosterone and antibiotics. So what you are basically saying is a Big Mac is basically a cheaper, more delicious, steroid/antibiotic injection system. And if I get hurt while pumping weights after my roid burger it also has Cortisol to help aid in healing. It's the perfect super-food.The meat itself is sourced from factory farms, which house cortisol distressed nutritionally deficient meats pumped full of hormones with antibiotics to counterbalance the immune suppressing effects.
Sounds like in 15 years or so we will have a country of totally awesome, super soldier children. Hooray McDonalds! Then children are fed this slop during their most crucial developmental years.
I try not to fast food much anymore, especially at places with questionable meat.
Twenty years ago, McDonalds actually used to be closer to real food -- back when food engineering was more about improving quality. Now food engineering is about taking substandard ingredients and making them palatable.

So I IM'd this to my buddy. Here is the exchange:

McDonald's so-called food is disgusting.

WRONG. The stuff McDonald's made in 1991 was pretty crappy. How do I know? I remember eating that stuff. The lettuce was the same shredded lifeless stuff. The patties were dry, small. The mayo had this weird artificial consistency to it. The pickles were mushy. The chopped onion bits would be right at home in baby food. Close to "real food". Hardly.
