5 Case Fans + P/S too much??

Hi
Just wondering if 5 case fans

3x 80x80 - 2 rear (sucking) , 1 front (blowing)
2x 120x120 - On the side blowing on Graphic Card & CPU (blowing)
plus the power supply (suck)

is this overboard or more the better.

Also any recommendationa on how to cut two holes for 2x 120x120 in the IN-WIN Q500N side panel?

Well, you can never have enough cooling, it won't hurt your system. I have:

2x 120mm fans (one blowing from the bottome, the other above the PS exhausting)
3x 80mm fans (on the front blowing in)
3x 60mm fans (one exhausting behind the cpu, the other two are a part of alpha p7125 hs, i think they're blowing)
and of course the 120 ps fan that exhausts...

the question isn't if you have much cooling or too many fans, but is it too loud?

Well, depends on your viewpoint. I've read some posts where people have 10+ case fans, although I myself have 0.

Hell yeah that's too much. I bet it sounds like a helicopter hovering in your room.

I doubt fans are going to overload your PS, so there's really no worry about them. As others have said, noise is the problem. If you can put up with the noise, get as many fans in the sucker as you can.

And for the hole cutting, especially in side panels, I think the best method is a drill press with a hole saw.

hehe ive found a really cool way to get fans: my school was throwing away REALLY old computers, and everything was up for grabs. i got there just in time to get about 10 or so old power supplies, opened em up, ripped off the fans, stripped the wire (btw, i also found some old 4 pin adapters) and connected them to the 4 pin adapters........now i have like 10 fans (of course i sold 6 of em for like $6 a piece
but i have a few left that im putting in.......
my current project:
replacing my crappy a** DEER fan with a 120mm panaflow (i have to cut the bottom of the case off

hmm i have 2 80s in the front. 2 80s near the cdrom/hd's are. an 80mm blowhole. a 92 and blower shootin air over the video card. 1 60mm on my fop32 and 1 60mm exhausting, 80mm ps fan, 80mm fan above ps

is there a really good 3.5" bay cooler?
i've got a full tower case and have all 4 of my hdds in the internal 3.5" bays
2 are 7200 rpm drives and 2 are 5400
i was wondering if there was some method for cooling them cause most of the bay coolers i've seen are for 5.25" bays
