Basically its $25 off if you spend $500. Not that big of a deal but I spent the time to sign up for a Discover card. I have too much time on my hands...

Every little bit helps. Las night I spent 320.00 at overstock.com and went through a cashback program, 4%. Used a 12% (first time buyer) coupon and the discovercard, 5%. Saved 21% off the top of Overstocks already low prices and got it all shipped for 2.95 and no tax. If I went to Walmart and made the same purchases I would have spent $390.00. I love shopping online. allthough woulda been nice on my ipod video. i wonder if that applies if you buy online for instore pickup.

Isn't it just 'credited' towards your statement each month? That's what I've seen on my statements so far. Cash Back Rewards are just credits on each billing statement...

They used to have a lot better companies in the turn $20 into $40 such as Red Lobster. A lot of their stuff now has restrictions (Maytag $20 into $40 requires a minimum purchase of $399).

As it is now I just get it funded to my next statement. But when they have decent companies on the double it you can make out nicely (ie. my Oakleys from Sunglass hut only cost me $60 using Discover Cashback).

Well i ordered $400 worth of computer parts over the weekend from different vendors like newegg etc, and bought a family share plan from wirefly which costs me $459. So if this is true at the total of $859 * .05 = $42.95 Saving.

I will check and verify.
