Tip: You dont need to be AAA member to get this awesome deal. I stopped membership 2 years back, but still get their emails. When I called the number, they said that membership was not mandatory.

Keep your tradelines open for a long time... don't close your credit cards, especially the store credit cards, even if you simply keep them in a box under your bed.

Don't get too many, but don't have too few either... you should know how much credit is too much for yourself.

This is a great deal for those that use lots of fuel.

THe other benefit is the 0% on balance xfer's until 1/2004.

The only catch is the 3% or $50 (whichever is lower) balance xfer fee.

If you pay your balances off monthly, then this probably exceeds the interest you're making on your checking/savings, and thus you're not really saving all that much and/or it comes out being a wash --- - for the balance xfer.

Still a great deal for gas though... Kinda/sorta like that old priceline crap back in 2001.

10-20¢ savings per gallon was nice (not a very good business model though).
