and she has fancy tastes. Won't drink the piss beer, but whines for my Great Lakes and Sam Adams brews.

Also, don't kill the coons. Too damn cute and intelligent. Vermin? At times, yes... but you can coax them.... or push them away - if they don't see humans often, they are not comfortable with you getting close and will scoot like mad to get away. If they have been around humans for awhile, they might be a little more troublesome. You'll know... if they know where the good shit is, and how to get to it, they've been around human dwellings once or twice.

i only have a pump handle bb rifle...with 2 bb's left over from way back! shot mommy twice...hit her both times...she twitched both times and continued to stare at me...she was maybe 20' away from where i was...

It worked for me. One paintball, and a raccoon who thought he owned my porch never came back.

a while ago we heard something is chewing on our deck from underneath. we heard sounds of wood ripping. figured it was a raccoon. called around and found out we could rent a trap and have the county vector control come and retrieve it afterwards. never got around to it and haven't really heard the raccoon again so i never did anything.

fast forward to last night. i was doing the dishes and saw a fat raccoon sitting on the lawn, next to the edge of the deck, staring at me...just sitting there looking at me while i was looking at her...after a while two smaller ones stuck out their heads as well. i thought oh fvck, 3 raccoons...then they started to wander further out into the lawn, jumping on each other and grooming each other...i looked away and when i looked back, there were two more! 5 fvcking raccoons having a jolly good time on my lawn...its a family of mommy and 4 juvi's...

i don't think i can trap them all...i'm thinking of blocking off the gap to the underside of the deck with concrete blocks once they're all leave at night and hope they go make a home elsewhere...

is there any other good ideas on how to get rid of the fvckers?

you might try a huge glue trap. i had mice in my house. i trapped the mom in a glue trap and i found some dried up babies in a potato chip bag "nest" several months later

I've had interactions with urban raccoons and dumpsters, but nothing I couldn't handle with a broom or something. (Nothing brutal - poke 'em a few times, yell at 'em, and they run away.)

I chased a large raccoon out of our garbage can a few years back. It ran around the garage corner, then came right back and stalked me.

From about 30 feet away, it walked directly at me, so I walked toward it. It was unwavering, so I charged. Thank god it took my bluff and scurried away.
