I got those a while back. They are made by CMC Magnetics (low quality). So far I have only had one coaster. I would not recommend them if you plan to keep the stuff on them for a long time.

kodak ultimas are good too, but more expensive usually. had a good deal a while ago where you buy 100 and get 100 free.
yes, agree - stay away from cmc discs for long storage.

I've burned hundreds of CMC discs, and I think they're fine. I've not had a problem reading them after almost a year. I think recordable cds as a solution for long term storage is a bad idea, no matter what brand you buy. I've also burned hundreds of Taiyo Yuden cds (fuji, sony etc), and they're fine too, but they are in my opinion a bit overrated.

pothead when you say fuji and tdk, make sure you mean the tdk's from japan. not china.

I got these and after a while some of them starting to make these wierd ass stains on them........like waterspots.....even though they were in a notebook of cds......

CMC Magnetics is good quality. I've never heard anyone ever say it was bad...Imation and Memorex -and- Kingston Hypermedia were all CMC Magnetics....

but yeah, I liked the $12/50 ($6 after rebate) deal at Office Max...I got 5 spindles (only 4 per rebate, but hell $12/50 for Taiyo Yuden blanks was too good a deal to pass up)
