$50 Brookstone GC from Chrysler

Got to Chrysler.com, pick a car (I tried a van) and request a brochure. In about 2 weeks they will send a bigass brochure with a certificate to testdrive on for $50 at Brookstone(which doesn't go very far btw). Makes a good gift for you dad. I've done it twice.

Anyone know if these are stackable? Something in the fine print seemed to say they weren't, but that doesn't really make sense. If I have 2 $50 GC's, why can't I use 'em both?

I test driven for the Chrysler dealer during the X'mas and got my $50 GC spent yesterday

I did the test drive in Nov 2001 and have yet to receive my GC.

do you need to say that youre going to buy the car in 1 month or less or does it matter? in the past, nissan/infiniti and lexus would only give you a gift certificate if you put the time to buy as 1-3 months

Got mine in just a couple weeks. Certificate says either in the store or via catalog...hopefully that means you can use it online too.

I received mine around xmas. Went to their store to check it out (couch potato store etched in my brain?) and was surprised at the variety of items offered. They had alot of stuff on a clearence shelf with decent discounts. I'm still trying to decide what to buy.

You have to mail the gift certificate in if you arn't going to the store, so I suggest you request a catalog from brookstone's site for the order form.

I always tell them "straight up" why I'm there and that I don't want to waste their valuable time. Always works for me.

I told the guy straight up why waste all our time (im 22 and look 18) and that i wasnt a "typical" $35,000 minivan purchaser. He said chrysler should get something for their money. I then said it would be a shame for me to take one outta here and total it out or something like that - talk about a headache. Didnt work. then the guy wrote so damn sloppily ALL OVER my form i was afraid i wasnt gonna get it cuz everything he wrote was so illegible i wrote what it was in my own handwriting explaining the dealer wrote in the blue ink and the near black ink was mine.

Im thinking either the "chrome" thermos set, or the vibrating fallic/massaging tool for a 'talking point' in my dorm room (girls are always askin for damn massages!)

I always make it a point to include the salesperson's business card in with the Test Drive voucher, no matter what the instructions say. I also make copies of the business card and Testdrive voucher. And finally, if the TD voucher tells me to expect my GC in 6-8 weeks, I go into Outlook and set a reminder for 8 weeks from the mailout day, and make sure the 800# to call is attached to it.

The reminder usually says something like, "Did I receive my Brookstone $50 GC yet?" If I have, I just delete it. If I haven't, I call the 800# I've included in it.

I didn't use to be so anal about it, but I finally got sick and tired of looking up the numbers or calling 1-800-555-1212 to get a number to a number to a number when I didn't receive my GCs on time.

BTW, Brookstone has a lot of crappy stuff for sale. I spent mine over Xmas and bought some lame noise-cancelling headphones. Good thing I didn't pay real money for them.

I'm looking at the form now- there's no number. But I think that the previous one ($50 visa debit card) the number was either 800 CHRYSLER or 888CHRYSLER
both are working numbers but one gets you to the promo people the other doesn't. I don't remember which. Perhaps give it a couple of days. It could be a mail issue, or perhaps they send them in batches A-F, G-M, etc??
