How often do you people get your haircut? Once a month?

I get it done like once every three months or longer...

I get it done at a $50 place. Good friend of my wife (and her part-time employer too sometimes).... it costs me, my kids and her $0. I certainly think he does a better job that $10 Supercuts. Unquestionably. If I HAD to pay, I'd try to find happy median between the $10 and the $50

I usually just head to a barber- no more than $15 or so- it really is hit or miss going to random barber shops, but I found one that is really consistant.

I use to get OK haircuts for $12. Then I upgraded to $20 with free wash and they do a decent to good job. Now the best hair cut I ever got cost $30. I layer my hair and the technique the $30 stylist used cannot be replicated by any other stylist I've been too. Unfortunately I can't locate that stylist anymore.

I think for guys you shouldn't pay more than $20 for haircut. Just go to the vietnamese ones.

$13.99 hair cuts at Pro-Cut here. It' not that I'm too cheap to spend more it's just that my face is not pretty enough to match a $50 haircut.

It's silly looking butt-ugly yet spending tons of money on pretty hair cuts.

I'll probably get flamed for this...

I have pretty long hair, I don't like cutting it short. I've always gotten the standard 15 dollar supercuts hair cut but I'm never quite satisfied. They usually go really quickly, don't put any effort in, and overall I just am unsatisfied.

I recently had the chance to try out a salon that I think is only available in washington state called gene juarez. Mens haircuts cost about 45 dollars.

Not only are they ridiculously friendly and have the best customer service I've ever seen, but the guy who cut my hair was able to explain exactly what I wanted out of the haircut, and then delivered it. He also talked was extremely conversational and made it feel like I was just hanging out with a friend rather than getting my hair cut by an agitated asian lady.

I've gone once more since then but had my hair cut by a different stylist. It wasn't nearly as good.

So in retrospect I'd say that they are worth it in some cases, but if you get a really basic haircut anyways, then just go to supercuts. If you want to do something you've never tried or been able to put into words, try a stylist.

Edit: I get my hair cut about once every 3 months, so 50 dollars isn't a huge deal to me.

$30 - $50 for a haircut?! I'd rather do it myself with scissors, blind. Yikes. And how much they charge for hair dyeing... I guess unless you have really long hair, just do it yourself. Insanely easy.

Nah, long hair. It has been falling out as I've gotten older though. It's a lot thinner than it used to be. If it ever comes to me having short hair, I'll shave my head.

How long we talking here? I haven't cut my hair in about 5 years but mine is almost down the small of my back.

This depends on the ability of the stylist, the style of cut the client wants, and the client's hair.

Cutting hair is a skill and certain cuts require a lot of skill. Generally, more expensive salons attract better talent. A master stylist isn't going to work at a place that charges $10.

That said, there are exceptions to every rule. I'm sure there are good stylists working in crappy malls.

I pay $46 plus tip, for a total of $60. To you lot that sounds ridiculous, but that's pretty average for my area. I've got thick, corse hair, I'm specific about what I want, and the girl does a great job. I'm happy. I get it cut one per month.

Mine's not that long; probably to the bottom of my shoulder blades. I think a lot of mine falls out after awhile :^D I also had to wear hardhats a lot, and I think that wore a lot of it out.

get a haircut ya hippie!

I will soon enough. I'm supper lazy about these kind of things for some reason. An I've gotten used to having long hair over the years. Also for some reason I always hated getting hair cuts. It's not a phobia or an anxiety issue like other problem I have, I just always hated getting them. lol.

I haven't gotten my hair cut in about 10 years. When I did, I always went to cheap places. I've got better things to spend my money on than something frivolous like hair.

I know what ya mean,I hven't had a haircut in about 2 years and I'm workng on the Ben Franklin look.

I used to go to a standard barber and pay $10-15. My GF is an Aveda Master Stylist who charges $120, and she cuts my hair now (no, I don't pay, at least in the traditional sense). She does do a really nice job, even if I would never consider paying that much for a haircut.

I either do it myself or have my wife do it for me. Not much to it really. Just put a #4 on the clippers and go over my head. Using a mirror, trim the back of the neck. Then go around the borders with a beard trimmer to make sure everything is straight.

Usually happens about once a month.

If any guy pays $50 for a haircut, they're either gay, stupid, or both.

I used to go to the salon my wife went to. My haircut would run $40-$50....and then 2 days later it would look the way it was before. My hair is thick and it does what it wants, even when it's short.

Now I go to the hair cuttery. $15 + 5 tip...$20 total
