It blows my mind that people could spend this much for a haircut. I'm not trying to bash it or anything it's just that I've been shaving my own head for so long I forgot that guys even paid for that kind of thing.

The most expensive haircut I've had is £40 ($60) at Tony and Guy and I wasn't impressed, since the service and haircut wasn't any better than what you would get from a $15-a-haircut salon / barbers.

I now always spend about £10 ($15) on haircuts.

I pay $20 w/tip ($15 haircut). I like the place, I always go to the same woman and she washes my hair after for free. No immediate home-to-shower FTW.

When I lived in G'ville FL I went to a place right by UF's campus..7 bucks with tip. Those were the days.

everytime i got the shampoo after the haircut, i still have random hairs all over the place can i can't stand it!!!!

I get mine for $9 bucks at the same barber i've been going to for over 20 years. I get it cut every month and a half or so

I paid $35 for a set of clippers and buzz my head every 2 weeks. Beats the hell out of wasting an hour to pay $15+tip for a haircut

Most I've spent on a haircut is I think 20 bucks after everything. Usual is like 15 maybe. I only go every couple months-three months.

My old roommate goes to a place that charges 30 per cut, and he's very happy with his haircut and swears it's better than a normal haircut.

I'm lucky to have a barber locally that gives a $35 for $12. I always tip him $3, making it a $15 haircut though. He's been at the same location for over 30 years and always cuts precisely the haircut that I like. I've been to other places for $12 - $15 and they always mess it up, for example one time I went to Supercuts and I didn't notice the back was all crooked until I got home and my wife noticed.

Anyone (males) ever go to a yuppie hair cut salon where they charge $50+? I've always had my haircut either by my mom or for some place that's $10-$12. Is there an actual difference there?

In the haircut part sometimes not so much...the clippers will be quieter, they will use better products, usually a wash is included and not extra.

My biggest thing is not having to deal with riff-raff around me, screaming kids, and the like that's typical in the lower priced places.

I used to go to Supercuts and they did the same job my local $4.25 barber does. I went to him for a couple years as he was great but it just seemed unnecessary for my style. I just recently bought this and never have to go out for a cut again. It's not just that you have to go out, you have to drive home with bits of hair on your neck, ears, and shirt and then jump in the shower even if they attempted to wash it... it's a whole ordeal.

I have a simple buzz cut so it's perfect for a naked do-it-yourself minutes before you hop into the shower... and VERY little mess to clean. Unless you see clients all the time, haircuts are just a chore.

naked FLOWBEEEEEEEEE!!!

Just got a plain ol' $12 haircut this morning at the local barbershop. I don't have nice hair (I have to use gel or mousse..etc no matter what if I let it grow) so I just go to the local place.

Maybe one day I'll let it grow a bit and go to an old fashioned barber shop for a cut, old school shave and groom..etc. Y'know, those old time bowtie, gentleman barbershops. I'm sure there's a few here in NYC. eh..I'm losing my hair anyways so it doesn't really matter. lol

$21 with tip and I bang one of the chicks who cut my hair... good times.

(No I don't get the hair cut free because I don't want any favors at her work since she'll get in trouble and we aren't that close where she can come over and cut it.)

Go to a Korean place. White people cannot cut Asian people hair. Trust me on this.

White people can't cut hair that's complicated period. The Asian salons do it best. I pay about $25. I got my hair cut by Korean people in college. they did a decent job. Not $25 worth, but meh. My current place is a lot better though, so I feel like my $25 is worth it.

I've never gotten an expensive haircut, and I doubt I ever will.

I've done the $50-$60 hair cuts before. The spend a good 30-45 minutes on your hair. You usually get a shampoo w/ conditioner, a scalp massage, a custom style that goes with your face shape, and they use premium products (the last time I did this they used this conditioning cream in my hair that smelled so good I wanted to eat the stuff ).

Not something I would do every month, but as a once/twice a year thing it's a cool experience. Plus, the chicks that work at these places are usually SUPERMODEL hot!
