How would you know if you haven't had it in 20 years? And I'm a foodie. Hell, I'm as big of a beer snob as they come. But I still have PBR in the fridge because, you know what?; it's great for what it is.
Pizza doesn't always need to be some epic, reservation only, beautifully flavorful and aromatic cultural journey. Sometimes pizza can just be, what it was originally intended to be - pizza; bread baked in an oven with some cheese and stuff on it. And Domino's is pretty damn good for what it is. If I want $6/slice, stone oven, gourmet pizza... I'll go out and get it. Because I know where to get it when I want it. Otherwise, Domino's is a pretty good middle ground if you know what to order.
