Thanks for this GREAT deal. Worked at 2 different Bed, Bath and Beyond stores in NY for me. Register person just had to ask the manager about it and was no problem. I even bought bedding stuff that they don't carry in Lechter's.

I tried BBB locally in Atlanta with no luck. I guess if I tried buying a kitchen item, I would have had a better chance. I tried it on the Homedics bath device which they would not accept. The mgr claimed that Lech does not sell the same item, therefore no go.

Guess it is back to them tomorrow with a Macys 20% match instead, can't win them all!!

Electric Appliances and the really nice Knives would be the only things I think BBB wouldn't do with the coupon. The HUGE SIGN says except's competitor's coupons. They gave me no hassle for my new $30 (instead of $60) All metal 200 DVD stand!!! I'm sure Lecter's don't carry that! LOL

NOW, what STUD is going to take this deal to the MAX?! They have a top of the line, Cephalon Pan/Pot set for $499.99. Walk that baby up to the register with the coupon and get it for $250. Then make sure they give you the $50 gift card, for making a $250 Cephalon purchase!!! LOL

YES! GOt the hamilton beach blender/processor combo I usually see it for 45.00 everywhere else.... SO mail order places have it for 39 or 29, but it is usually plastic jar blender -- rather than preferred glass. I grabbed this fo 19.99 !!! GREAT DEAL!!! They had a stakc of them on friday but I got the last today.... Look for $39.99 set.

Called my local LinensNThings on sunday, and was told that they don't match % off competitors coupons. I explained to the manager that other LNT's across the country had not had any problems doing so, and that the nice CSR at the LNT 800 number said it shouldn't be a problem.

The manager still wouldn't budge... she tried the old "even if we did , we'd have to call to verify they had the same item in stock" routine, then finally resorted to the "we don't have a lechters in our local market to compete against, they all closed down last year".

(Beings I had just hung up with Lechters 10 minutes before, I new this was going to be a waste of time and effort) so I gave up for the day.

Today I call corporate. Anyone think I'm not going to be bringing home a nice Caphalon cookware set this evening <g>?

I'll let everyone know how this goes. I hate to resort to calling the folks at the home office, but heck... I could use the $200 savings for other things.

For the love of God, don't call the store or Home Office! You'll kill this deal for you and rest of us.

Here is what I learned. Just go to the store. Look for the friendly veteran cashiers. They could care less about the 50% off. Only the new cashier would ask the manager. Then the manager would give the b**hit.

If you get rejected by the manager, don't reason with him. You won't get the deal by doing that for sure. Just come back later and try a friendly veteran. It works like a charm.

First of all I thank Namuna for a great deal. Next I wanted to know if I had to take the printed out coupon to the register first and show it the cashier first while making my purchase or do I need to ask the Manager if he/she will accept the coupon so I don't look like an idiot carrying all the products to the cashier only to find out that they won't accept the 50% off.

Didn't get a chance to go yesterday. I probably go to my local lechters today and try to pick up a showtime oven. I think they sell for $179.99. Hopefully I can picked it up for $90 bux providing the cashier just type in the code instead of look at the details of the coupon.

HELLO! Use your brains people! DO NOT CALL THE HOME OFFICE ON THIS DEAL! THEY WILL KILL IT! They can't afford to let 1,000 cephalon sets out the door for HALF price!! DUH!

Also, good luck on using this coupon at a Lecter's store for something it says you can't use it for. That would have to be a really dumb cashier. I would say 90% failure rate on kitchen electrics AT Lechter's! It's THEIR coupon. You'll have a better rate of success for kitchen electrics at BBB or Linens N THings unless SOMEONE calls the home office and alerts them...*ROLLS EYES* we are working with geniuses here...
