hey guys i dont know about you ... but generally when it says " gold media " dont you expect the bottom (the writable side) to be gold? i just received my order of this product and guess what ITS NOT GOLD!!! The top of it is gold but the bottom is like a light blue!!!! very similar to the office depot brand!! i dont know what to do now ... weather i should keep it or just send it back? very disappointed!!
according to cdmediaworld.com, the premium Ricohs tested well and the regular ones tested fairly. Apparently Compugeeks is selling the regular version, judging the pictures. But it doesnt matter now, they are sold out.
Gold usually means gold reflective layer, not the dye color (blue, green), some CDR's might actually have gold bottoms, not sure though, never seen one in real life.
They now have a 25pk 12x 700MB by Ricoh for $6.50. Get 4 packs for $33 shipped, it says these are platinum and are "ultra high quality" but i'm really not sure how good they are.
