Just did a quick search for pqi and didn't notice this deal, so please delete if it's a repost. But, wow, free shipping and a small rebate. $65 shipped - $15 rebate = $50!!!
Deal is HERE at Frys.

MAD42GUOE-X2 doesn't match any PQI part numbers. If anyone knows what the default voltage is on these modules, please post.

That's on fire, I'm in for one. Thanks. I hope the voltage is below 1.95v though.

Hmm...nice price, but I have bad luck with PQI DDR1 Ram. I wonder if their DDR2 line is much better.

did just a little digging.. someone posted these should boot vista at 1.8v but will have memtest errors at that voltage.. fine at 2.0v.

thanks op. been waiting for a deal on pc6400. crucial ballistix @ $71 AR was tempting, but i'm lookin for cheapest build rather than super OC.

well these are the power series, not the turbo.

the turbo is the one taht needs 2.0 at 800. their site doesnt even have ddr2-800 on the power series yet, but the other models in the power series are all 1.8 v.

hopefully that works with these since i cant control voltage on my mobo.

oh well might as well stock up on ram guys. http://www.dramexchange.com/

is showing untested chips rose 8%! today. and june is traditionally the time PC companies start buying up ram for back to school season . some ram manufacturers apparently cut back production so this might be as low as it gets.

apparently last year, companies switched their flash memory lines to dram and created the over supply (thats probably why flash was so cheap for a while because there was a flash oversupply at xmas)

In for 2. I know the rebate limit is one but I want matching pairs for my new build.... Now I don't know if I can hold off until the July Q6600 price drops....

This is ok but not as good as the $56 instantly 2 GB dual channel kit a few days ago! Now if this was a 2GB stick this would be smoking hot!

Still a good deal for people who miss out on the $56 instantly deal though so thank you. Good to know in case I want a little extra ram soon.

should be these babies: http://www.pqi.com.tw/product2.asp?oid=40&cate1=164&PROID=294

i cancelled my order of 4GB of corsair XMS2 platinum 675mhz RAM from ZZF. i am going to get 2 sets of these for 4GB on my XPS 700 running vista, when dell upgrades my mobo for free, i can get a Q6600 for cheap (hopefully they list it at market price and i get the extra 25% off from dell) my rig's gonna scream.

well not scream since the whole dell thing won't OC. but it will fly nonetheless.

Just ordered one and hope it ships. An earlier deal for the Kingston 2GB got canceled by fry's because it went OOS. My SST RAM just arrived and now I have these coming. Well, I guess one can never have enough RAM.

My XMS2 ram is due tomorrow. It's rated at 4-4-4-12 at PC2 5400. I wonder if I should send them back & save $20 to get these if they are those that run at 1.8 volts (and from the link I have no reason to doubt these are what's on pqi's site).

Every time I ask myself that question, it goes down again. However, $25 a gig is crazy cheap. $50 a gig was crazy cheap. There's no way any of the fabs are making money at these prices, so it can't last forever.

well if you look at that dramexchange place, the spot price for an untested ddr2 chip (which isnt even 800 speed) is 1.75 or so. it takes 16 of those to make a 2gb module, not to mention a pcb etc.

so its already more than $35 for 1gb

yeah i did everything by the book, i have 2 addresses with 2 different CCs going into each, i ordered a kit for each address to get around the rebate, somehow frys emailed one of the orders saying the address didn't verify. WTF!

Is this gone? The link takes me to the opening page and search would not help me either. I found DDR2 2GB PC5300 DUAL PQI / MAC42GUOE-X2
PQI:
FRYS.com #: 5259527 for 59.99 which is a lower speed and 10 bucks more (but no renate).
Thanks
