Pricematch at OM, they have it for $19.99. Officemax applies a 115% extra discount on the DIFFERENCE of the prices. So $19.99 - $2.99 = $17.99 difference. Multiply that by 115% = $2.55 back. So $2.99 - $2.55 = about $.44 total. I already PM'd it and I forgot and they forgot obviously about the 115% pricematch policy. I am going back to get my $$$ to make it $.44 per pack. Bought two spindles. $.88 for 100 700mb cdrs. Ripped from fw here


Edit: I tried this twice, the second time unsucessful at another OM. They said that they "don't pricematch advertised sale prices, only everyday low prices because of the instant rebates" which I think is utter BS.

good thing as well..DAWeinG..bought 2x50 pk of these Imation pkged crap from OM 3 weeks ago..they sucked the big one..reject rate was not good..2 out of every 5 ..frisbees..tried on 3 different machines w/ 3 different burners..still same result.. burned fine with regular Imations tho(silvery Imation logo tops..) as always YMMV hauled one unopened 50pk back to OM used the difference to get another deal on a Memorex 100pk(made in Japan )

I tried to pricematch at Officemax. The assistant manager refused saying that the amount of the pricematch was too much. He said that he could only pricematch the before instant rebate price. If the item is $2.99 out the door at Office Depot in my area, I do not understand why I was not granted the pricematch. I will very cautious in the future on what I purchase in Office Max as they did not honor their own policy, in my opinion.

OM Pricematch is a far stretch and truely YMMV since the OD ad states IR. OM 115% PM guarantee "does not apply to...rebate" if you read the fine print. I myself have had no luck but of course it doesn't hurt to try.

I went to pick up a pack of these cds and, even though nothing was posted anywhere in the store, they refused to honor the instant rebate. I must have been the first person to make a fuss about it because it took them a good ten minutes to verify that it was a MIR. Oh, well.

These cdr are very cheap and the top has nothing to protect it.
Much, much lower quality than the maxell ones also in the ad today, but they're paying me to take them off theirs hands after rebate, so I can't really complain.
Good for making vcd/music cd, very bad for data backups.

Dead for me. There is a sign pasted to the counter at my OD saying that they apologize, but there was an error in the ad. I guess it was supposed to be a MIR instead of a IR. Oh well. I just left the 10 that I had pulled off the shelf in the shopping cart and carried my $10 AR chair out to the car.
