I was a day late on the $79.99 price as well. My CC B&M now rings up at $99.99 but they adjusted down to $89.99 because of the current flyer price listed. Another plea for a screen shot of the $79.99 price please if anyone saved it. Thanks.

Watch out for the rebates. Make sure you sign both rebate forms. It asks for a signature on the upper half of the rebate and is very easy to miss. Also, one of the rebates ask for the original cash register receipt. It is very easy to miss this detail. I caught this on the third check just before sealing the envelope. How do you tell what sort of chips the RAM is before you buy it? Is there anyway to do this? I should be looking for Infineon, yes?

well, you look for the big names, and try not to get the small names.

like, look for winbond. those are nice chips. i got them on the kingston valueram

but for centon, i think try not to get vdata or spectek. do try to get micron, samsung, infineon (even though recently i've been hearing less about them)

I came back from there last night and they were able to sell me two sticks of 512 memory that were in stock from another CC in Valley Stream. So I paid there in Queens and drove out to Valley Stream where I was able to pick up the memory sticks. I didn't realize that CC allows you to buy an item at one store that is in stock in another store. After you pay they put the item on reserve for you to be picked up. That sounds like the way to go on Saturday if you want a good chance to pick up some memory .

well its basically like how the others in the thread were saying, they would pay first then CC would call em back when they had the memory in stock,,, not exactly a raincheck but more or less the same concept

Just to update, I bought 2 Centon 512MB PC2700 DDR today at Circuit City (8/22) They had just received a shipment in. Just a FYI incase anyone still wants then. The price was $89.99, but those of you with the print out from Monday may have luck pricematching...
