Overall rating of 7.17 on reseller ratings. Bunch of good comments, some negative comments referring to backordered and out of stock/discontinued items, but seems more like a misunderstanding. Looks decent to me.

this is a very good ram, but Mushkin is having their sale as well: 512MB PC2100 Level 2 at $179 w/ FREE shipping. i think the Mushkin might be a better choice.

Hm... i guess it comes down to what chips are used on those memory sticks. Do they say ot state that in their web page?

And BTW,

How do you figure the Mushkin PC2100(266MHz) is better than Corsair XMS3200(400MHz)?

Corsair is as good as any memory and their pc3200C2 is far better than 2100 anyday... and for 6 dollars more by your posts.

That's PC2100 and the CMX is PC3200. So, the better deal is the CMX for $185.

this is very good ram at a half-way decent price considering they're still rising (*hopes he is wrong*)! Corsair is pretty darn reliable and often live up to their rating (and them some!).

I would jump, but i got some pc2100 512mb mushkin ddr for $81 almost two months ago (does pc2700/333mhz nicely)

That's a great price for the XMS 3200C2, I wish I had known about that when I paid $195 shipped for my XMS 3200 a week ago. Oh well, I figure as soons as you take the splurge and buy something, you'll find it a week later for cheaper.

In my case, as soon as I started contemplated buying DDR ram, it goes up $50 - $60 a stick. Now, it starts to go down some. About time... I went and bought everything else in my upgrade first and I hope this is lower next week when I purchase it!

as far as i can tell, the mushkin pc2100 level 2 still the best ram in the market, even though it's only labeled as pc2100, but it's full 2-2-2 speed, that can go as far as 190fsb (i am not hitting that high due to a locked cpu), check out the review at:

Well I have a stick of Level 2 2100 and it doesn't even do DDR400 at the slowest setting even at 2.7V. I may have been unlucky, but the possibility is there. The Corsair is guaranteed at 2-3-3-6 at DDR400 if I'm not mistaken so I think that's the better choice.

Whoa, I stand corrected. PC2100 that can go 190Mhz is good stuff

Please, aren't we forgetting something? The label PC3200 means that the memory does 200MHz by spec! (And 200 is more than 190, as far as I know.) The Corsair memory in question, however, does 200MHz at CAS2, too. Which means it can go even further, if you run it at CAS 2.5, etc. Keep that in mind.

I bet that was one of 10000 that will do 190MHz. The reviewer got a cherry stick most likely.

They are not just talking about CAS rating...it can hit 190 at the most aggressive settings possible and in the review it went higher than the corsair.

Don't quote me on this, but from what I remember, the Corsair XMS PC3200 memory are actually PC2100 chips certfied to run at PC3200. If you're looking for memory, I think this would probably be a better deal:

Samsung True PC2700 DDR Memory

The memory chips are actually PC2700 and I have them running at 200mhz (PC3200). Plus it's only $125 + almost free shipping.

Enjoy

not a bad price, but their shipping is a bit high...googlegear has it for 192.50 shipped 2 day fed ex here:
corsair 3200 c2
i'm trying to decide between the cas 2 or 2.5 3200....i'm thinking the 2.5 should be able to do cas 2 also, just not tested...

Which Corsair? The one we're talking about was released only a few days ago.

Congratulations! But I doubt all sticks could do the same. If all could, then that memory would not have been sold as PC2100 Level 2, but rather as PC2700 Level 2, or something.

I don't think so since it doesn't run at 222, it runs at 2.5-3-3

the sisoft score is pretty high though. beat the PC 1066 but not the smp one if you are familiar with sisoft
