they are selling a 512mb module for $60?

you have the link? many of us have those MB... 1.5 gigs is nothing to laugh at no matter how crappy it seems

the 512mb modules will give you the ablity to have 1.5 gigs of ram... the 256 mb modules only 768 mb.

but $60 for $256mb of SyncMax ram... isn't too bad I paid $109 for it last month at Fry's.

These are 256MB sticks. You get 2x256=512. Don't buy this if you want one 512 stick.

I believe aRyll is confused. $60 sounds like the 2 month long thread about the UpgradePlanet 256MB PC133 CAS3 RAM that many got (including me). Only worked on newer chipsets (motherboards)... working fine on my P3V4X. It is now $60 on their site.

I found they have similar memory in 512MB DIMMs, but they are $178.00 right now.

, so, he was born in Feb/14/2001 5:26 AM . First He shouldn't compare a 256 for VIA board to a 512 for other MB, because they are two different products. For me, the value of those upgrade planet 256 ram worth 0 since I am not using via board, besides, for those people who want to upgrade from 256 to 512 by 1 slot, those VIA ram worth 0 for them too.

Will this memory play well with other normal sticks in a system (with all of those restrictions?)

Or should this memory be given a &quot;time-out&quot; , and left by itself in a PC.
