I should have forgotten the shareholders, investors, new project R&D, and new facilities.

Clearly you don't want a surplus of cash, you want to be operating on the break even point so everyone gets paid the the company stagnates.

No generally the more money a company makes the richer its directors and executive managers get.

Take apple for example. 150bln in the bank and didnt pay a dividend to a shareholder until last year after cook took over. Share price that has collapsed from $700 to $400 in weeks. Whilst the executives become some of the richest people in the world.

Oh and when they fail they still get rich with huge payouts and massive pensions.

So forgive me.. i think ill just stick with the best performance for the cheapest price..

Or are you trying to tell me that a higher variation in frame rates is a good thing?

But anyway my point was nothing to do with that graph, it was that any single benchmark is a totally worthless assessment of any graphics card.

because for £300 with £100 in free games i can max out 1900x1200 at 1125/1700 OC.

Oh and even those bankrupt mortgage companies the US bailed out are making like 50-60 billion each..

Heck if you have shares in nvidia and you are getting paid a dividend then i applaud them for increased profits.

As a consumer it just doesnt help us one bit.

i dont think AMD has a GPU sales problem on the desktop side.

It has a CPU problem which is dragging down the company.

AMD wants to shift profitable GPU's to pay for sucky CPU sales

Those who borrowed more than they could afford suffered, and yes many of those were poor, but largely because they were financially illiterate.

The poor who just plodded on and lived within their means are no worse off.
