congrats on the new car OP. i was in the market within the last year and went with a 2017 Macan S. I considered the f-pace, but the looks turned me off, and my opinion was that the macan looked much better. It also handles better, and power is nearly identical.

Looks are definitely something that is hard to debate with someone over. When I was doing my looking/test driving I just couldn't swing the Macan. It was smaller than the F-pace which I may have lived with but the price was just way over my budget. To spec a Macan S anywhere close to the F-pace S you have to spend $8-9k more.

Here are all the things you have to buy on a Macan S that come stock on the F-pace S:

- 20" Wheels
- Panoramic sun roof
- Active suspension
- Torque Vectoring
- LED headlights
- Passive entry
- Blind spot monitoring and lane keep assist
- 14 way seats
- Heated seats/steering wheel

I'd have LOVE to have a well optioned Macan GTS but the Macan S seemed oddly priced. It's probably the reason when you see all the Macan Vs F-pace articles/videos it's almost always the Macan GTS vs the F-pace S.

My co-worker has the MB. Well, the car is weekly at the dealership to fix something. Sometimes 2x a week.

Verdict is in

Going with the F Pace. The extra 4-6cuft of room is enough and it was the most fun when compared to the q7 and xc90. Was going to custom order but the wait time is more than I thought so I'm just going to find something in inventory.

i love that f-type looking taillight cluster in it. great looking SUV. honestly they were stupid to make such a boring looking XE sedan, when the SUV and F type look so good
