5770 Power Requirements

I checked on google, all I could find is they recommend a minimum of 450W. Does anyone know the current required on the 12V rails?

I really want to used this with a 300W TFX PSU and it only has 21A on the 12V rails. I would be pairing it with a Q9550S (65W TDP).

About the peak amperage you can expect on the +12V rail from the 5770 is 7A, or 85W.

So you seem to be safe with that PSU, as long as it can safely deliver its rated output. The Q9550s won't really use 65W, in real-world apps it would probably use around 45-50W under a full load. So 50W+85W+65W (for the rest of the system on the generous side) is only 200W when every component is fully loaded, which isn't likely to happen at the same time anyway.

Even under full Furmark load the entire system system could run on the 12v rail alone (250 - 20% < 21* 12)
In normal games its not even close
