5800 Ultra or 9800np?

What you wrote leads one to believe you believe it's a great card because it is "leading the 9800np by 600 points." That's the only reason you give, so obviously you must trust 3DM (or, more accurately, nVidia) to base your recommendation on that sole point.

While we are on the topic, how does a 9800 non-pro ($299) compare to a 5900 non-ultra ($399) ?

im gunna be buying both cards and and seeing both of their maximum potentials...that means OC to the max..now if only i would get my paycheck this sunday..

i am well aware of the problems of 3dmark but with the synthetic benchmarks of PS, VS, and FR, the 5800 is still leading in all except PS. ok so i do like nvidia..but what about i tell u im buying both those cards and returning the 5800. I just want to see if theres a playable difference in the 2 cards. I have some "leaked" software that i won't mention yet to benchmark the 2.
