yes, me too. they're a very good bte (behind the egg) vendor.

5870 still in stock at newegg, his, sapphire, gigabyte, asus, diamond all available. asus is the only one I see with dirt coupon, however.

Does brand matter with these initial cards? The only card available at the Egg is the Sapphire. I was holding ot for Asus, HIS, or XFX if at all possible.

since they're all reference board, I don't think there's much of any variation, save for Asus's voltage tweak mod. I myself bit the bullet on the Sapphire one, just couldn't wait for the vapor-x version to come out

Hmm.. I was sorta hoping to avoid Steam. I haven't had much luck with Steam, despite many positive reports from users as of late. (Same goes to Windows Live service) I guess I can give it another go if I decide to purchase an HD 5800 series card. Thank you for the confirmation.
