$315.99 wow. I laugh at suckers who pay over $50 MSRP.

Why? Try to hold the judgment, please. Maybe I just paid $50 for a new game, and want to play it at decent framerates so I need a new card. And I want to play the game now, not 3 or 4 weeks from now when prices might come down. If the game was worth $50 to me, then $50 over MSRP for a video card that allows me to play the game might be worth it to me too. It's simple supply and demand. Wanting something now and being willing to pay a premium for it does not make you a sucker. Premiums like that are everywhere, and we all make those sorts of decisions every day.
For example, here are some other statements as asinine as yours:
"I laugh at suckers who pay $10 to go see a movie when they can just wait for it to hit Netflix next year."
"I laugh at suckers who buy a $4 beer at a restaurant when they buy one at a liquor store and drink it on their couch $1."
"I laugh at suckers who buy the latest computer technology when they can pick up 2-year-old technology for a fraction of the price."
MSRP is an arbitrary number. If the 5850 had an MSRP of $500 but you had the opportunity to buy one at only $315.99, would you be in this thread bragging about what a great deal you just got?
HIS 5870 at ZipZoomFly $419.99 shipped. Just bought one. Not great, but $70 less than mwave.
Zip zoom fly emailed me to let me know the HIS 5850 is in stock! At $349 they have got to be kidding!!!!!!!!!
$$$ INFALTION, INFALTION....Next step they will email to you price target by Chinesse YAN...
The Intel X-25 G2 mania might provide a little perspective. Same price increases by Newegg, perhaps even more extreme. Yet just a week ago without much fanfare, Newegg had a G2 sale at MSRP. They sold out, but it was a "real" sale, for about a day you could have bought a G2 at MSRP from the same web store that, just a month earlier, was marking it up over two hundred dollars.
Things can change quickly. Just like with Intel, AMD is ramping up production. With rumours NVIDIA may launch in January, AMD knows they have to flood the zone soon with product (if they want to take back market share).
It's $449.99 now...

Smart Businessmen.
It appears that NewEgg puts some in stock every day between 12:00 and 1:00 PM CST. Sometimes they put up another batch in the evening after 7:00 PM CST as well.
